We are a small, warm, family-style private practice in a vibrant, diverse community southwest of Seattle. We see patients of all ages & genders. Our volume is low enough to allow for a deep collaboration with our NP students & time to really get to know our patients & their stories. We provide a high level of quality care while satisfying our patients' desires for consistency in their care, & for the learners we teach to have time to understand the basis for the care we provide.

Many of our patients speak Spanish & we require at least a familiarity with the language in our students. We work best with students who have had some job experience & have finished their Basic Science introductory work.

I am a certified and licensed bilingual (Spanish) Family Nurse Practitioner. I have 5 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, 16 years’ experience as an ICU Registered Nurse 3 years in leadership as the Director of ICU at St Lukes Baptist Hospital and 10 years as a License Vocational Nurse. Additionally, I have extensive working knowledge and experience of the medical and healthcare industry. I possess an in-depth understanding of coordinating multiple medical services to ensure the highest level of quality of care for my patients. I excel at diagnosing and treating an array of conditions, disease and illness prevention and educating patients and family members to ensure optimal ongoing care. I have the knowledge and skills to translate research, facilitate quality improvement and cost-effective care to improve patient outcomes. I can work both independently and as a cooperative team member, as well as manage other employees. As an advocate for the patient, I will strive to work in collaboration with intra-professional teams to enhance optimal outcomes for the patient and their families.

At Holistic Healing Psychiatry, we provide compassionate, evidence-based tele-mental health care to individuals and families across the lifespan. Our approach blends the heart of traditional psychiatry with secure, HIPAA-compliant technology to make care more accessible and convenient.

Students are welcomed into a supportive outpatient setting where they actively participate in intake assessments, develop thoughtful treatment plans, and strengthen their documentation skills. The rotation fosters growing clinical confidence through real-time supervision, SBAR case presentations, meaningful virtual rapport-building, and hands-on experience in psychopharmacology and medication management.

This practice setting is an outpatient mental health clinic providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for adolescents and adults across the lifespan. Services include psychiatric assessments, medication management, psychotherapy (as appropriate), and coordination of care with primary care providers and community resources. The clinical population includes patients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, ADHD, and other behavioral health conditions. Care is delivered using evidence-based guidelines with an emphasis on patient-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive treatment. Students in this setting will gain experience in diagnostic interviewing, developing differential diagnoses, formulating treatment plans, psychopharmacology management, risk assessment (including suicide assessment), documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Opportunities for supervised clinical decision-making, case presentations, and professional development are provided. The practice emphasizes ethical standards, confidentiality, collaborative care, and the integration of behavioral health within the broader healthcare system.

This preceptorship provides structured, supervised clinical training in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment planning. Students will progressively develop competence in conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulating differential diagnoses, initiating and managing psychotropic medications, and providing patient education. Emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning, safe prescribing practices, suicide risk assessment, documentation standards, and ethical decision-making. Students will participate in case discussions, review current treatment guidelines, and receive regular feedback to support clinical growth and professional development. Opportunities are available to observe and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, care coordination, and culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. The learning environment encourages autonomy while ensuring appropriate supervision and support. The goal of this preceptorship is to foster clinical confidence, critical thinking, and readiness for independent practice in mental health care.

I am available M-F to precept; visits are a combination of face-to-face and virtual. This is a geriatrics clinic; we serve patients ages 65+ only. This is a consultative clinic; we do not do primary care.

Family Practice clinic seeing patients ages 12 months to 98 years old. I also do pap exams in office. I also work at an Urgent Care Clinic.

I work 2 full time jobs, family practice and Urgent Care, it is busy at both places and I think it is great experience with all ages of patients.
