Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details

Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner license (Acute Care NP certification preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Hematology Oncology or Acute Care settings
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible Nurse Practitioner
  • Required certifications: ABLS, ACLS, BLS
  • Experience with Epic/Beacon EMR preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams (MAs, RNs)
  • Clean credentialing history preferred for expedited privileges

Key Responsibilities for Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care in Hematology Oncology (60% oncology, 40% hematology; primarily solid tumor cases)
  • Manage approximately 15 patient encounters per shift
  • Work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (no weekends or on-call required)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • No procedures or bone marrow transplants required
  • Accurately document patient care using Epic/Beacon EMR
